The February 23rd one-day workshop on "Presenting Financial
Information to Senior Government Officials" was well attended by
current and new members. The facilitators for the workshop were Jim
Marshall and Giselle Marcotte, Executives-in-Residence from
Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy. The workshop
provided practical tips for conducting technical and verbal
briefings to senior officials. Valuable information shared included
the art of "layering" information and tips and techniques to "keep
facilitating the February 23rd workshop.
On March 23rd, the Regina Chapter will host the Commercial Crime
Unit from the Regina Police Service at a breakfast session on
Corporate Fraud Awareness. The session will explore different types
of fraud that can occur in an organization, focussing on credit
On May 25th, Deanna Bergbusch will introduce the Government of
Saskatchewan's new Planning and Accountability Management System
and will discuss the many tools and practices within it that are
designed to it work. Deanna Bergbusch is the Executive Director of
the Planning, Accountability and Reporting Branch within the
Ministry of Finance.
