Lean Six Sigma
Lean Six Sigma is an integrated and balanced combination of customer focus, evidence based change and waste and variation reduction. Lean eliminates no-value steps or waste in the process. Six Sigma improves quality of value add steps by reducing the variability in the process. This methodology works best together.
The Workshop
This one day workshop will explain what Lean and Six Sigma are and how they come together. Attendees will experience running a Lean Six Sigma project from start to finish. At the end of the day, you will gain a clear understanding of how Lean Six Sigma pertain to the public and private sector, be able to articulate how Lean Six Sigma could make your work life better and understand the importance of building internal capacity verses relying on external consultants. The day will feature interactive activities, led by experienced Lean Six Sigma consultants.

Dale Schattenkirk

Dale is an expert in organizational transformational change and has been recognized nationally by being awarded the Industry Weeks Top 10 Plant Award and the Saskatchewan Lieutenant Governors Gold Medal Award (team award).
Dale has spent over 10 years working as a LSS facilitator and trainer. He started as a interprovincial journeyman mechanic and moved to industry in 1991 when he went to work for a local cable making company. This is where Dale’s LSS journey began. He was selected and trained as the LSS facilitator for the organization and travelled around North American training employees and working with teams to implement organizational wide change. His next career change was to healthcare. In 2007 Dale was recruited into the Five Hills Health Region where he developed, designed and implemented a LSS program from the ground up.
As President of LTS Consulting, Dale works with all levels of the organization. He works with the frontline to teach them how to practically apply LSS within their setting and he works with CEO and other executive leaders to teach them about what it takes to be a leader of a LSS organization
Dale’s hometown is Yorkton, Saskatchewan. His is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and an ISO Auditor. He has a Human Resource Management diploma, is a Certified Human Resource Professional and an interprovincial journeyman mechanic.
Bonita Matushewski

This is Bonita’s favorite saying because it summarizes what LTS does. LTS’s business model is built around
giving organizations the skills and abilities that will allow them to continuously improve their organization, on their
own.
Bonita has worked with many of organizations to design, develop and implement LSS programs that build internal capacity using the LTS Blended Learning Model. This includes but is not limited to organizations such as the Ontario Health Quality Council, the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health, The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency and Extendicare. Bonita also runs the LTS Project Management Office and provides all levels of Project Management to her clients depending on their needs.
Bonita has also developed the LTS Home Office which works with individual families to help them get organized in order to make their lives easier and reduce the stress and cost of running a household.
Bonita worked a number of years for government as a Senior Policy Analyst and Privacy Officer. She specialized in researching complex issues, crafting possible solutions, recommending policy actions and developed, delivered and evaluated training programs.
Bonita’s home town is Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; she is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and has a B.A. Public Administration, Political Studies and Project Management.
