October 31st is the early bird deadline for registration. On-line registration will close on Friday, November 14, 2008. Please note that availability to sessions is limited and not guaranteed so please try to register for your session at your earliest convenience.
NEW 5 DAY CONFERENCE FORMAT
Please be advised that PD Week will not open each day with a keynote speaker. Instead delegates will proceed to their pre-selected first session of the day from 9:00am - 10:15am. The keynote speaker will take place in the Casino Theater from 10:45am - 12:00pm. Lunch will be served in the Ballroom from 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm.
TRANSPORTATION
Fmi*igf will charter three school buses (48 seats each) to provide accelerated transportation direct from Hilton Lac Leamy complex each afternoon to downtown Ottawa at Elgin and Sparks Street where you could connect to public transportation. This service is provided at no charge to PD Week Conference delegates. Space will be limited to the capacity of the buses and offered on a first come basis.
Departure from Hilton Lac Leamy Conference Centre to downtown Ottawa:
Monday –Wednesday- 3 buses at 4:10; 3 buses at 5:10
Thursday- 3 buses at 4:10; 1 bus at 5:10; 2 buses at 6:10 (President Reception evening)
Friday- 3 buses at 3:10; 3 buses at 4:10

FRIDAY NIGHT GALA REPLACED BY INTERNATIONAL SOIREE
The fornat selected to accommodate our growing attendance has led to the end of the sit down dinner and to the introduction of a formal evening with food, drinks and entertainment with a highly interactive format. There will be something for everyone.
The FMI cordially invites you to sample an assortment of foods from far reaching regions of the world. As you enjoy the various food stations, each with its own regional theme, you will be entertained by the musical sensation that took our breath away in 2007, The Reflections. This new and exciting International Soirée is guaranteed to match any gala of the past!
SOCIAL NETWORKING ACTIVITES
A variety of social events are organized daily that assist in strengthening the relationship of all the members of financial management community. Arrangements have been coordinated and the following activities will take place at PD Week:

Thursday November 27th: FORD/IARD Graduation Ceremony (3:00pm), President's reception (4:00pm - 8:00pm), Ottawa Senators game/package (7:30pm game starts)
Friday November 28th: International Soirée (6:00pm - 2:00am)

FORD/IARD GRADUATION
In collaboration with the Treasury Board Secretariat: The FORD/IARD Program Graduation will take place Thursday, November 28th, 2008 in the Casino Theater. A reception will follow combined with the FMI President’s reception in the Salon Royal. The reception will be a great opportunity for the entire Financial Management community to celebrate the achievements of these new members.
COMMUNITY LEADERS STREAM
This year's session is specially designed for Federal SFFOs, SFOs, and CFOs from the Provincial and Municipal level. This Stream provides an exclusive opportunity for the Financial Management community leaders to network and to discover what is happening in the area finance in various jurisdictions. There any many different successes and best practices everywhere and much to learn from each other.
HONORARY CHAIR
The Honorary Chair for PD Week 2008 is Christiane Ouimet (Commissioner, Public Sector Integrity Canada). We are excited to have Christiane join us. Don’t miss her keynote address on Monday November 24th.
