Transportation Options to/from Ottawa to PD Week 2008

Note: Daily Monday November 24 through Friday November 28 continental breakfast in exhibitor salon from 8:00 – 9:00; Conference sessions start at 9:00 and terminate at 4:00 p.m.

1. Vehicle Free Parking
The Hilton Lac Leamy- Casino complex provides 4000 FREE parking spaces, some in covered parking garage, minutes from the door.

2. Public Transport from /to Downtown Ottawa (Patron can transfer from/to OC Transpo and STO (Gatineau) buses at no additional charge with a bus pass or transfer. Please note that there will be regular customers also on these buses so space may be limited.

To Hilton Lac Leamy Conference Centre:
STO bus 21 from Rideau & Mackenzie 8:23; arrival 8:57;
STO bus 20 from Rideau & King Edward, 7:20, 7:35, 7:50, 8:10; arrival 25 minutes later

From Hilton Lac Leamy Conference Centre:
STO bus 21 @15:53, 16:55, 17:23, 17:55 to Rideau & Cumberland; arrival 25 minutes later
STO bus 20 @ 16:00, 16:14, 16:37, 17:03, 17:31 to Rideau & Cumberland; arrival in 25 minutes

3. Car-Pooling
Since there are many PD Week delegates from most departments, we encourage you to speak to your group coordinator or colleagues to find who is attending from your place of business and arrange car-pooling together.

4. School Buses
Fmi*igf is chartering three school buses (48 seats each) to provide accelerated transportation direct from Hilton Lac Leamy complex each afternoon to downtown Ottawa at Elgin and Sparks Street where you could connect to public transportation. This service is provided at no charge to PD Week Conference delegates.  Space will be limited to the capacity of the buses and offered on a first come basis.

Departure from Hilton Lac Leamy Conference Centre to downtown Ottawa:
Monday –Wednesday- 3 buses at 4:10; 3 buses at 5:10
Thursday- 3 buses at 4:10; 1 bus at 5:10; 2 buses at 6:10 (President Reception evening)
Friday- 3 buses at 3:10; 3 buses at 4:10
