How do I register?
All groups must register online. Please note: Group Registration is restricted to organizations that will be registering 2 or more people for 5 or more days.
We prefer if all individuals register online prior to the event instead on registering on-site as availability to sessions is limited and not guaranteed.
On-line registration will close on Friday, November 14, 2008. FMI accepts payment by personal, business or government cheque as well as by American Express, Visa and MasterCard. Credit Card information can be provided on-line; credit card processing is done off-line. GST is payable on all fees except where an organization (such as a Provincial Ministry) is GST exempt. Payment is due within 30 days; interest will apply on late payments.
GROUP REGISTRATION
Group registration is restricted to organizations that will be registering 2 (or more) people for 5 (or more) days. A standard daily rate is applied and multiplied by the number of days purchased. No restriction is imposed on the number of registrants per day and the maximum number of days purchased. One day cannot be shared by two or more registrants (example: one registrant for the morning sessions and a second registrant for the afternoon sessions).

Group discount are as follows:
- 0% - 5 to 15 days purchased
- 2% - 16 to 25 days purchased
- 5% - 26 to 50 days purchased
- 8% - 51 days or more purchased
The discount is applied on the total invoice amount (before tax). For example, if 30 days are purchased, the 5% discount is applied on the 30 days purchased (30 days * $220 = $6,600 minus 5% discount (5% * $6,600 = $330.00, your invoice is for $6,270.00 plus taxes if applicable).
Each Registrant is entitled to:
- A name badge with selected day(s).
- Continental breakfast for the selected day(s).
- Luncheon(s) for the selected day(s).
- Coffee breaks for the selected day(s).
IN ADDITION: 2 International Soirée tickets for Friday November 28th, 2008 for each complete 5 days purchased.

Can I switch between sessions?
This year the sessions are colour coded and entry into sessions will be monitored. Availability to sessions may be limited so please make sure to register early. All sessions are concurrent and therefore delegates must choose ONE session only per day. For example, you cannot register for session 3-1 and 3-2 because they occur at the same time starting at 9:00am and ending 4:00pm (for most sessions). Changing sessions throughout the day will not be permitted.
Am I allowed to share my individual registration package with another person?
Please note that individual registration is restricted to one, and only one, delegate. The sharing of an Individual Registration Package is not allowed. All information regarding substitutions and/or cancellations must be made by e-mail (national@fmi.ca) and provide the Group Registration Confirmation Number.
Can another person be substituted for my individual registration package if I cannot attend?
Another person may be substituted for the entire Individual Registration Package (i.e., all days purchased) if the registered individual cannot attend. Substitutions should be requested by e-mail (national@fmi.ca) and will be accepted up until October 31, 2008. Changes to event selections must be made before October 31, 2008.
What is FMI's cancellation policy?
Cancellations, with full refund, will be accepted up until October 31, 2008. Cancellations should be requested by e-mail (national@fmi.ca). FMI does not accepted any cancellations or changes after October 31, 2008. There will be no refunds after October 31, 2008.
When do I pick up my registration package?
The name tags and international soirée tickets for the delegates must be picked up at the FMI Office (309 Cooper Street, Suite 503, Ottawa) between November 17 and November 21. Group coordinators are asked to confirm the pick up date by e-mail (national@fmi.ca).
Individuals can pick up their registration packages on-site at the FMI registration booth.
