Once again, it is time to renew (or begin) your fmi*igf membership. The dues for the 2011-12 fiscal year are $32.25 ($16.95 national fee and $15.30 local chapter fee). This is the 20th consecutive year the local chapter fee has not increased.
I would also like to take this opportunity to point out a couple benefits to membership:
1. Fredericton Chapter Bursary. The purpose of this bursary each year is to extend scholarship assistance in the amount of $500 to a member in good standing or the dependant of a member in good standing of the fmi*igf Fredericton Chapter who is in any year of study at a University or Community College in Canada. 2. 2 Days at PD Week in Ottawa. The chapter will be doing a draw this fall for a chance to win registration and travel up to $1,500 for a member (in good standing) to attend 2 days at PD Week 2011 at the at the Ottawa Conference Centre November 22-25, 2011. More information to follow.
3. Registration at PSMW 2012 in Fredericton. The chapter will be doing a draw in the spring for a chance to win registration for a member (in good standing) to attend PSMW 2012 at the Fredericton Convention Centre May 27-29, 2012. More information to follow.

I am happy to report that Fredericton Chapter 2010-11 membership was 118. Attendance at breakfasts and professional development events last year was excellent.
