Rod Monette was appointed Comptroller General of Canada in May 2008. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Monette was Associate Deputy Minister of National Defence.

Mr. Monette began his career in the Government of Canada in 1981, as a policy analyst in the Office of the Comptroller General. In following years, he has held various positions in numerous departments including: Western Economic Diversification, Revenue Canada, Environment Canada, Public Works and Government Services Canada, and National Defence.

Mr. Monette is a Chartered Accountant. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Business Administration. Born in Regina, he now lives in Ottawawith his wife and two children.

Clare Isman, FCMA, 
Chair Saskatchewan Public Service Commission

Clare Isman was appointed Chair of the Saskatchewan Public Service Commission in August 2004. In this capacity she provides leadership and strategic direction to address the human resource needs of the Government of Saskatchewan.  She is committed to working with her colleagues to maintain and further enhance the quality of the public service, to meet the needs of the citizens of Saskatchewan.

She has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Saskatchewan. She is a CMA and was awarded a fellowship from CMA Canada in 2000.  Prior to joining the PSC in 1998, she worked for the City of Regina for 17 years in both Finance and Human Resources.

Ms. Isman is the Past Chair of the CMA Canada National Board of Directors, Provincial Government Division Chair for the 2007 and 2008 Regina United Way Campaign, serves on the Editorial Board of Management Magazine, and is an Honorary Director of fmi*igf Regina Chapter.
