The FMI is seeking volunteers to help with the onsite duties during this year’s PD Week 2010 to be held at the Hilton Lac-Leamy from November 22 to 26, 2010. PD Week is an extraordinary event that requires the support of capable, dedicated and cheerful volunteers.

There are many ways you can help. We have a wide range of volunteer positions available for people of varying skill levels and experience. Anyone interested in lending a hand are invited to apply. Even if you can only give us a few hours of your time, we will be grateful for your help.  We will need volunteers to assist us in the following ways:

  1. Hospitality support - greeters, information assistance, traffic police
  2. Program support - room monitors, A/V equipment assistance, microphone runners, exhibition hall support, distribute evaluation forms
  3. Attendant care support - providing assistance to participants with disabilities, take tickets
  4. Administrative support - registration desk, session sign up, tour desk, post signs

In appreciation of your time and effort, FMI will provide each volunteer with the following:

  1. A free FMI T-shirt.
  2. Free lunch for each day that you volunteer.
  3. Free admission to PD Week on the day that you volunteer.
  4. An opportunity to network with 3,500 private and public sector financial management professionals.
  5. The ability to use FMI as a volunteer reference on your resume.

To volunteer, please contact Nicole Ladouceur: nicole.ladouceur@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca.
