The Financial Management Institute (fmi*igf) has been providing educational opportunities, information exchange platforms and incomparable chances to network with colleagues, industry leaders and corporate suppliers for over 20 years.

The Vancouver Chapter would like to take this opportunity to invite you to our 2010 2-day Professional Development Event. As public service financial professionals, we are currently facing an era of fiscal restraint brought on by the affects of the global financial crisis and the resulting economic uncertainty that followed. With the subsequent tightening of government’s budgets for training, travel and conference participation, the Vancouver Chapter thought it advantageous for its local members, and potentially for others in Western Canada, to have access to a high quality, multi-day professional development closer to home.

The theme of the event is excellence – not just in what we do but in who we are as well. This focus on excellence can make a difference between thriving and surviving in challenging times such as these. In putting together the agenda, we worked hard to provide access to high profile, informative speakers and have some great choices in topics. Our aim was to ensure your attendance is well worth your investment in time as well as provide unparalleled value for your training dollars.
 
During the two days of this workshop experts in public sector management will be able to gain valuable knowledge as well as focus on excellence in their professional and personal lives. There will be an opportunity to network with colleagues, share successes, and celebrate excellence.
