FMI Manitoba Presents:
NAVIGATING UNCERTAINTY!

  • Government is constrained in their capacity to react to unpredictable events.

  • Since the 1980s, government is increasingly exposed to a variety of exogenous forces (global economy, climate change, changes in political currents, demographic changes), that make it increasingly difficult to plan in the long term.

  • Government is challenged to react quickly to changing conditions in an increasingly uncertain world.

  • As a result, planning needs to better allow for the unknown.

  • This presentation discusses how exogenous forces are affecting government, and how uncertainty planning can help.
